New SmartRack^® module for chemical laboratories

The SmartRack^® modules range has expanded: The holder for separating funnels is a newly available module that further expands the range of applications for using the SmartRack^®.

Our objective is to make daily work in the laboratory easier and safer with our smart basic equipment. That’s why we are constantly developing our products to offer optimal solutions even for special fields of application in the laboratory.

A new module is now available for SmartRack^®, the first modular organization system for laboratory workstations, which specifically supports users in chemical laboratories. The holder for separating funnels was specially developed for this type of glass containers.

The module enables the user to quickly and easily store separating funnels in the SmartRack^®. Using this module allows users to place several separating funnels next to each other in a way that saves space. The holder for separating funnels is available in different sizes. This means that you can select the appropriate size model for various separating funnels used in the laboratory. New modules are often developed in collaboration with partners from industry or research. This was also the case for this one, as the module prototype was initially used at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden. A storage option for separating funnels was required for working in fume hoods, which can be integrated into the SmartRack^® and thus eliminates the need for an additional stand. After a successful test phase, the holder for separating funnels combined with the SmartRack^® is now part of the basic laboratory equipment of the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research and has become part of the SmartRack^® module range.

We are very pleased that our product development team found the right solution for this user-specific problem and that we have also been able to expand the range of modules for the SmartRack^® at the same time.
