Innovative case study on how to improve the efficiency of the laboratory at the Fraunhofer IKTS with Better Basics Laborbedarf & qualitype
We are excited to announce an innovative collaboration in the field of laboratory organisation and digitisation: Better Basics Laborbedarf and qualitype have initiated a case study with the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS) that demonstrates the potential for optimising laboratory operations.
Dr. Matthias Ahlhelm, Group Manager at Fraunhofer IKTS, and his team are utilising our SmartRack® and the digital Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) SAMPLES from qualitype to enhance efficiency in the production of barrier membranes for biomedical applications. Preliminary findings from the initial implementation of the SmartRack® laboratory organisation system and a LIMS like SAMPLES indicate a potential for efficiency gains of up to 30%. This could revolutionise laboratory work while simultaneously enhancing quality and safety in the laboratory.
Our goal in this case study is to document the advantages of our innovative solutions with concrete metrics regarding reproducibility and efficiency to support research and development in laboratories worldwide.
