Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat - Fortune favours the brave... or: Why we don't celebrate World Lazy Day (10 August).
Apollo, son of Zeus, may have wondered about the phrase “Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat” in conversation with his half-sister Tyche when he heard that lazy day had been proclaimed for August 10th! Tyche, later called Fortuna in Rome, was the goddess of happiness. The quote is based on her work. Her brother Apollo drew the sun’s chariot tirelessly across the firmament every day. In return, he was “looked after” by six nymphs every evening, allowing him to rest from his hard day’s work.
For us at Better Basics Laborbedarf it’s a similar story. Every day of the year we set out anew to make the world of the laboratory a little bit safer, a little bit more efficient and a little bit tidier. We are therefore delighted that fortune has smiled on us and that the SmartRack® is finding its way into more and more laboratories in Europe. As a small reference, Apollon was recently created in our SLS 3D printer. He now watches over our production processes day and night!
