Mario Schneider in the LABO interview on the Labvolution Preview 2023

As part of the preparations for Labvolution 2023, LABO, the journal for analytics, laboratory technology, applications in routine and research, published an interview with Mario Schneider, Managing Director of Better Basics Laborbedarf GmbH. Topics at this year’s Labvolution will include sustainability as well as the “smart lab”. Both aspects are of central importance for Better Basics Laborbedarf: “Practically speaking, the SmartRack^® is a purely analogue solution that is suitable for every laboratory workplace. But only the storage of laboratory glassware as well as work equipment in an exactly definable way enables a robot to assist optimally – here the SmartRack^® is the best choice. The integration of barcode scanners and tablets is also directly possible through a separate module in each case. Since the SmartRack^® is made of aluminium, an 80% recycled metal, and its plastic parts are manufactured with 100% green electricity from Germany, we at Better Basics Laborbedarf see ourselves as pioneers of sustainable 3D printing with the SmartRack^®,” says Mario Schneider in his interview.
