Better Basics at the New Year Reception of BioSaxony at Fraunhofer IZI Leipzig
On 20 January 2026, Mario Schneider, Managing Director of Better Basics Laborbedarf GmbH, presented the company’s innovative solutions for laboratory efficiency and workplace organisation at the New Year Reception of BioSaxony, held at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig.
The focus of the presentation was on the SmartRack® and the SmartIntegrate product family, which enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in everyday laboratory operations through modular design, improved ergonomics, and standardised processes.
Following the presentation, a professional exchange took place regarding future developments and opportunities within the Saxon life sciences ecosystem. For 2026, Better Basics plans to strengthen cooperation with various member companies of the association in the Leipzig region in order to jointly drive innovation in laboratory organisation and process optimisation.
